We met in 2012 at the University of Georgia and got married in 2020. Katie is from the Athens area and her parents are cattle farmers. She has spent her post college years running operations for businesses in Atlanta.
Cody is a registered landscape architect and is from Marietta. We are both avid foodies and have always cooked for friends and family often. We knew we would eventually move back to the Athens area to be closer to Katie’s parents to help with their farm. After covid hit, we knew it was time.
Cody started working from home which made the move more feasible and Katie knew she was ready to be out of the city and start her own business. Cody & Katie bought their farm in 2020. Previously owned by a fox hunter, the front gates have two iron foxes on them which is the origin of our farm’s name. We look forward to sharing our love of food, farm & homegrown goodies with you!
Lindy grew up on a farm in southwest Georgia and moved to Athens to attend the University of Georgia. She worked in food service throughout college and became the general manager at a busy restaurant in downtown Athens after graduation. Lindy and her husband, Paul, eloped in 2016 and welcomed their son shortly after. During the pandemic, she became a stay at home mom to her son, William. Lindy used her pandemic time to complete a long time wish, becoming a Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer.
Post pandemic, she decided to only work at places aligned with her personal interests and values and did so by embracing several jobs at once, including going back to food service, working at a local C.S.A. (where she met Katie), and taking on a horticulture position as a gardener. In her free time, she enjoys running and playing tennis, volunteering, exploring new areas with her family, and turning her yard into a woodland garden.
